These hand-made Cheery Trees are crafted with upcycled wool & vintage plastic beads by local artisan and former cinder + salt team member Jan Elizabeth.
"As a rug maker, I was inspired to make these Cheery Trees to give to family and friends, especially those who enjoyed the holidays but didn’t want to decorate for them. They can be hung on walls, doors, cabinets, windows, mirrors… and Christmas trees." - Jan
Each Cheery Tree is 7.5” x 5.5” and can be tucked in a drawer when the season is over.
"As a child of an artist who also made hooked rugs by hand, I was surrounded by beautiful rugs and all of the fabric and tools to make them. My mother taught me to hook when I was five years old. I inherited loads of vintage wool from her as well as strands and strands of beaded Christmas garland. And not surprisingly, looking back now, the first design I chose to hook was a Christmas tree! Voila, Cheery Trees!"
