Whale sharks are the largest known, currently-living fish species in the world! The greatest record of their size is 18.8 meters (that’s over 60 feet!). Even though their name sounds a little scary, they pose no threat to humans, preferring to peacefully glide through the seas consuming small fish and plankton.

Our whale shark silhouette was inspired by a photo from National Geographic magazine (what isn't?) taken by a diver beneath the shark, which is why you can't see it's iconic spotted pattern.
